  They're really proud to say that the rooms all have plasma HD TV's. When I first walked into the room I was excited to see that there was a DirecTV box under the TV - a real selection of channels unless most hotels that only offer a handful of 20-30 channels or so. Not only that, but the flat panel is mounted to the wall on an articulating arm - double cool (you can watch the TV from the bed or the desk comfortably.
  
  But, then I turned on the TV and noticed that the picture looked absolutely horrible - worse than it would look on 1980's Sony Trinitron. Being an AV person I flipped the TV out and looked at the connections. Turns out that the DirecTV box is not an HD box - it's an old low definition box hooked up to the TV via RCA cables only. Bummer. So when they upgraded the TV's they forgot to upgrade the tuner boxes.
  
  Then, there's the Internet. All hotels tend to suck here. So I can't say that this place is any worse than anyone else. But if you're going to call it "high speed", then users should be able to do high speed stuff - like watch a YouTube/Netflix video. Oh well - at least the net access is free unlike other hotels that charge $10-13 a night for equally pathetic Internet speeds.
